Die cutting is one of the oldest methods of cutting. The die cutting process is done by using a tool, called a die, that has a series of machined knives that are pressed into the product material creating the desired shape.

Die cutting is a very cost effective process when used for medium to large quanity runs. The required die tooling is relatively inexpensive and can be reused to generate thousands of parts with little or no maintence.

The die cutting process can be used for cutting a large variety of materials, including but not limited to paper, plastic, rubber, foam, thin foils, corrugated board, etc.
